Trot Nixon drilled a two run home run and the Zephyrs offense scored six runs on eight hits to edge the Albuquerque Isotopes 7-6 in front of 13,576 fans in Albuquerque. The Z's scored a pair of runs in the second inning to take the early lead. New Orleans added a two more in the fourth with RBI sacrifice fly from Andy Green and scored another run of a wild pitch. Nixon drilled the two run home run in the fifth inning to give the Z's a 6-0 lead. Jon Niese pitched five innings and earned his fifth win of the season. The Isotopes struck back with two runs in the fifth off of Niese. The Z's bullpen allowed two runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth inning. Ramon Martinez drilled a two out RBI single in the seventh inning for the Z's to score their seventh run in the game. Carlos Muniz pitched a perfect ninth to hold off the Isotopes. Muniz earned his ninth save and the Z's snapped the four game losing streak.

Game Notes: Jesus Feliciano drilled his team leading 152nd hit to move into a 5th place tie with Chris Burke for most hits in a single season. The Z's move into a second place tie with the Isotopes with eight games remaining. New Orleans grounded into 8 double plays in the series while turning one.

Coming Up: The Zephyrs continue the final road trip of the season on Monday evening at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha. The Z's will start RH Ruddy Lugo (7-11) against Omaha RH Roman Colon at 7:05. RADIO: AM 690 WIST.
