LHP Clay Zavada has been promoted to the Diamondbacks where he's expected to work out of the bullpen in tonight's ballgame against the Cincinnati Reds at Chase Field. Zavada is a member of the D-backs' 40-man roster and was 1-0 with a 2.51 ERA in 9 relief appearances. In 14.1 innings, he had allowed 8 hits with 4 runs and 17 strikeouts. Zavada is the 96th BayBear to make the major leagues and the 4th to go straight from Mobile to Arizona since the BayBears became a Diamondback affiliate, joining Mark Reynolds, Justin Upton and Bryan Augenstein. There is no corresponding move at the moment. The BayBears have 22 active players on their roster...
