Zary, Garand Selected for 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers will have two players at the 2020 Kubota CHL / NHL Top Prospects Game in Hamilton on Thursday, January 16th.

Forward Connor Zary and goaltender Dylan Garand were both selected to participate in the event.

Zary is enjoying a strong season with the Blazers with 20 goals, 24 assists and 44 points which is 5th in the WHL scoring race. He is leading all first-time NHL Draft eligible skaters in goals and points.

The 18-year-old is ranked as an 'A' prospect which indicates a potential first round NHL pick.

Garand is in his second season with the Blazers and has a record of 18-8-1-1 on the season with a 2.40 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. The 17-year-old leads all WHL goaltenders in minutes played with 1625 this season.

The 40 players will be divided into teams by NHL Central Scouting and announced along with coaching staffs in January.
