Lancaster Stormers News Release

For the second consecutive night, York made a grand something out of nothing.

The Revolution scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning after the first two batters retired and went on to defeat the Lancaster Barnstormers, 11-3, for York's second consecutive win at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

Jack Kenley opened the uprising against Cameron Gann (1-2) with a double into the right field corner. Lenin Rodriguez singled up the middle to break a 1-1 tie. Gann hit Troy Stokes, Jr. with a pitch and walked Elmer Reyes to load the bases. Melky Mesa took Gann out of the yard to right center for a grand slam and a 6-1 lead.

York would strike for five more off the bullpen in the seventh inning. J.C. Encarnacion delivered the knockout blow to Chase Johnson after the right-hander had posted 2 1/3 scoreless innings, with a two-run single into right center. Stokes added three more to the coffers with a double out of the reach of right fielder Kelly Dugan to plate the final runs of the night.

Lancaster's runs all came on solo homers. Dugan cracked his fifth of the season to right field with two outs in the first for the quick 1-0 lead. LeDarious Clark slammed the other two, a drive to right center in the sixth and a titanic blast to left center off Duke von Schamann in the ninth.

Eduardo Rivera (1-0) fired the first six innings, yielding three hits and two runs. He walked two and struck out seven. Von Schamann worked the final three for his first save.

The series concludes at 1:00 on Sunday. Lancaster will send right-hander Dominic DiSabatino (1-2) to the mound against right-hander Nick Travieso (1-1). Fans may tune into the Barnstormers YouTube Channel, beginning at 12:55.
