Central Islip, NY- The York Revolution erupted for five runs in the eighth inning, coming from behind to surge past the Long Island Ducks 6-5 on Saturday night in front of 7,220 fans at Bethpage Ballpark. The Revs have won three straight overall, and now own a season-high four-game winning streak on the road. York goes for the series sweep on Sunday afternoon.

Silenced most of the night by Ducks righty Matt Larkins who was stellar in his Atlantic League debut, the Revs broke through in a big way late in the game. Keith Castillo ignited the rally with a single up the middle, and Josh Wilson followed with an RBI double to the gap in right-center as the comeback quickly took shape. Brandon Chaves battled out a walk to prompt Larkins' exit after seven-plus innings, with the tying runs on base.

Former Revs reliever Luis Perdomo entered for Long Island, facing Travis Witherspoon who sacrificed both runners to scoring position. Potentially needing just a single to tie it, Jared Mitchell drilled a line drive three-run homer to right field, suddenly putting the Revs on top with a 5-4 lead. Two batters later, Kevin Rivers slammed a solo home run to deep right-center to make it 6-4.

Julio DePaula worked past a leadoff walk in the eighth with a pair of ground balls including an inning-ending double play. Mike DeMark allowed just an unearned run in the ninth, as Mike Dowd scored after a bloop triple and a passed ball, nailing down his 35th save of the season.

Michael Click (6-3) picked up the win with a pair of strikeouts in a clean seventh.

The Revs add to their club record for comeback wins with their 43rd of the season, as the Ducks built a lead right out of the gates.

Long Island scored three times in the first inning. Fehlandt Lentini led off with a double down the left field line, his league-leading 38th two-base hit and 166th hit of the season overall. A pair of groundouts brought Lentini home, with Delta Cleary, Jr. picking up an RBI on his grounder to first base. Lew Ford singled to right and Cody Puckett doubled to right-center to keep the inning alive, and Ruben Gotay served a two-run single to left to spot the home team a 3-0 lead.

Long Island added one more in the fourth as Dowd singled to left with two outs and came home on a bloop triple down the left field line by Anthony Vega.

Down 4-0 with one out in the fifth, Castillo drilled his second career triple on a drive to left-center and scored on a passed ball to put the Revs on the board. Larkins retired eight consecutive batters from there, until Castillo jumpstarted the eighth inning rally.

York righty Tony Pena settled in after the rocky first inning to give his team six frames, allowing four runs in the no-decision while retiring seven of his final eight.

Larkins was charged with four runs in seven-plus innings, while Perdomo (3-2) absorbed the loss.
