
Yard Dawgz Team up with Oklahoma Brain Tumor Foundation

OKLAHOMA CITY-Join the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and local radio and news personalities for the first annual "Yard Dawgz Celebrity Flag Football for Hope". The Yard Dawgz have teamed up with the Oklahoma Brain Tumor Foundation (OBTF) to raise awareness and funds for Oklahoma families suffering from a brain tumor.
The flag football game will be held on Saturday, June 30th at the Ford Center from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Later that evening the Yard Dawgz host the Florida Firecats, kick-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
Local celebrities include TV personalities from KOCO, KFOR, and FOX 25, radio personalities from KJ103 and Wild 104.9, and Tyler Fleck of the Oklahoma City Blazers.
"We're happy to be teamed up with such a great organization," said Yard Dawgz Assistant General Manager Ryan Haigh. "We look forward to helping them raise awareness."
Donations for the OBTF will be accepted at the door. A silent auction including sports memorabilia and family fun packages will be held from 5:30 - 8:30 on the concourse level. Proceeds will help provide services and support for Oklahoma children and adults with a brain tumor.
The OBTF assists families with financial, emotional, and medical help. Brain tumors are the #1 cause of solid tumor cancer death in children. Approximately 800 Oklahomans are diagnosed each year.
