Yard Dawgz Get Locked-Up for Good

OKLAHOMA CITY-This Thursday, July 26th, members of the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz will get locked-up for good behavior to benefit "Jerry's Kids". Head Coach John Fitzgerald, General Manager Christie Cook, and Assistant General Manager Ryan Haigh will all participate in the MDA Telethon Executive Lock-Up.

An MDA deputy will "arrest" the participants and transport them to MDA's Maximum-Appreciation Jailhouse at Mickey Mantel's Steak House where they will be sentenced and held with other community leaders for approximately one hour.

Each participant is required to "post-bail" by raising as much money as possible for the MDA. Any amount of money is accept by the organization and 76% of every dollar that MDA spends goes directly to research, health care services and education. There are approximately 2,000 families affected by muscular dystrophy in Oklahoma alone.

The MDA fund helps worldwide research which seeks to find a cure for more than 40 neuromuscular diseases. Each year, thousands of "Jerry's kids" go to a MDA camp for a week of fun and recreation geared to their abilities.
