Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are very honored to announce that Head Coach Rich Ingold is one win away from making arenafootball2 history. Coach Ingold has led the Pioneers to a 14-1 regular season which makes his all-time record 57-25. His record while with the Quad City Steamwheelers from 2002-2004 was 34-16, and in his last two years with the Pioneers he's had an impressive record of 23-9.
Currently, Ingold is tied with Chris Siegfried with 57 career wins. In the 2006 season, Siegfried helped guide the expansion Spokane Shock to the ArenaCup title. The Pioneers will travel to Albany this week to face off against the Conquest and hopefully give Coach Ingold his 58th win and solidify his place in league history.
"This is all fine and dandy, but our primary goal is an ArenaCup Championship brought home to Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania; my home state!", stated Ingold when asked about his accomplishment.
