A come from behind victory for the Staten Island Yankees brought their record to 11-24 this season. Yankee starter Jason Jones pitched well in the first retiring the Muckdogs in order and receiving his 19th strike out of the year. Jones got into some trouble in the second giving up three straight singles and 1 run. A double would bring in Batavia's 2nd run to make it 2-0, Jones would stop them their on two straight outs, the last his 20th strike out of the year. Batavia would get a need insurance run in the top of the third, when in the bottom of the inning Estee Harris lead off with a triple down to the right field corner. A sacrifice fly by Justin Christian brought Harris in to make it 3-1. Grant Plumley then walked to put a man on first. A single by Hector Zamora made it first and second with 1 out. Ben Jones took one for the team when he was hit in the arm by Batavia's pitcher. The game would come to 3-2 when Edwar Gonzalez walked in the second run.
Staten Island would tie Batavia in the bottom of the fifth when Hector Zamora lead off with a single. Then two straight outs would lead to Edwar Gonzalez, who knocked a double to bring in Zamora. The Muckdogs answered in the top of the sixth with a home run and make it 4-3. Their lead was short lived, in the bottom of the seventh Plumley reached on an error by Batavia's third baseman, and then come in to score on a double by Zamora. A two out, two run home run by Edwar Gonzalez put the Yanks ahead 6-4.
Batavia tried to get something going in the eighth when they scored 1 run, but the Yankees were able to keep it at that. The Staten Island Yankees would win the game 6-5 in front of a crowd of 3,562.
Yankee Starting pitcher Jason Jones struck out 4 batters in 6 innings, Yankee pitching would strike out 9 all together.
