Y'alls' Strike out Cancer Night Set for Wednesday

FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Y'alls, presented by Towne Properties, are proud to announce that the organization's second annual Strike Out Cancer Night will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 during the team's game against the Evansville Otters.
Strike Out Cancer Night, presented by Recreations Outlet, will be hosted by Marty and Amanda Brennaman at Thomas More Stadium. Both will be in attendance, and Amanda will throw out a first pitch.
Specialty, game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds going towards I Have Wings, a charitable organization dedicated to educating and enriching lives emotionally and financially during a breast cancer journey. Tickets to the game are free for cancer survivors or for families that have been impacted by the loss of a loved one due to cancer.
In addition, there will be a Tracy Jones bobblehead giveaway. Jones, the Cincinnati Reds first round pick in 1983 who spent six seasons playing Major League Baseball including three in the Queen City, will be on hand to throw out a first pitch. Jones and Marty Brennaman spend time on the radio talking baseball on 700 WLW each day.
First pitch at Thomas More Stadium for Strike Out Cancer Night is 6:32 PM. The special event coincides with Dollar Dog Night, meaning hot dogs are one dollar apiece throughout the evening.
Florence is in the midst of its final six-game homestand of the regular season. Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 15 is a $2 Tuesday featuring popcorn, ice cream, soda, hot dogs and game tickets all for just two dollar each. The homestand wraps up on Thursday, August 16 for Thirsty Thursday featuring one-dollar domestic beers and discounted craft beers.
