Wichita Wind Surge News Release

WICHITA, KS - Wind Surge shortstop Ernie Yake was the stand-out player of the game when he went 2-3 at the plate and drove in a run in a low scoring ball game. He also had a couple of impressive defensive fielding plays throughout the game. The Travelers defeated the Wind Surge 3-1 and won the series five games to one.

Wichita got on board in the bottom of the second. Yake started at shortstop and got his first hit of the season for the Wind Surge in his third game played. He hit a double and was able to drive in a run on a beautifully struck ball straight down the right field foul line that stayed fair.

Spencer Packard hit an RBI single in the top of the fifth that added the final run for the Travelers.
