Frisco RoughRiders News Release

TULSA, OKLAHOMA (June 7, 2015) - Left-hander Chad Bell turned in a quality outing but Yadir Drake delivered a two-out, two-run double in the sixth inning to lift the Tulsa Drillers over the Frisco RoughRiders, 2-1, on Sunday at ONEOK Field.

Peter Lavin doubled to begin the sixth inning, marking the fourth consecutive inning the leadoff hitter reached base against Bell. Ali Solis sacrificed Lavin to third before Adam Law struck out. Luis Mateo worked a two-out walk and that's when Drake gave Tulsa the lead with his fourth double. Bell (1-7) lost his fifth consecutive start despite the quality outing.

Nomar Mazara led off the top of the second with a base hit to left, and the inning was extended when Drew Robinson reached on a fielding error by Hector Olivera. Mendez took advantage, dropping a single into left and Frisco led 1-0.

Chris Anderson (5-4) matched Bell with an impressive outing for the Drillers. Anderson tossed seven innings, allowing four hits and the lone run in the second inning. He struck out seven in his first start against the Riders this season.

Nick Williams doubled to begin the top of the eighth inning against Jeremy Horst, but he would be stranded there. The Riders left a total of nine men on base and finished 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Frisco (23-32) finished the six-game road trip, going 2-4 against Springfield and Tulsa.

Following a scheduled off day on Monday, the RoughRiders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark on June 9 for a four-game homestand against San Antonio. The team will host a "Full House Night" with special uniforms depicting scenes from the classic '90s sitcom on Friday, June 12.
