Waco Wranglers News Release

Waco, TX. The ABA Waco Wranglers will hold a press conference to sign Reggie Griffin Thursday at 10am at Texas State Technical College. Griffin will be the second play signed by the Wranglers. The 6'5 combination shooting guard and small forward of Little Rock, AR led Cedar Valley Community College to victory at the 2001 championship game of the NJCAA Division III Tournament. Griffin then transferred to Louisiana Monroe after receiving a scholarship.

Griffin was chosen for membership in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American team for 2000 and 2001. He was also voted Most Valuable Player in the Metro Athletic Conference for 2000 and 2001. "I'm grateful to get the opportunity to play for the Waco Wranglers. I am looking forward to a great season," Griffin said. "We have some great players and the potential to go for the Championship. We also have very good coaches."

"We are thrilled to be signing a great player like Reggie," Coach Toni said. "He is going to be exciting for our fans to watch as he is an excellent three point shooter but also has amazing dunking ability!" The Wranglers will sign their third player next week.
