
Wranglers sign two more players

Waco, TX. The ABA Waco Wranglers announced the signing of two additional players at a press conference: DeMarcus Thomas and Josh Wittgren.
Thomas, a 6-7 power forward, played for Southwest Missouri State with a full scholarship. He was named to the All-Tournament team and led the conference in rebounds and blocked shots. He then transferred to Xavier University where he also led the conference in rebounds. He finished up at Tougaloo College where he led the conference in blocked shots and rebounds.
Thomas also played for 104.5 radio station as well as various city leagues in Missouri, Louisiana and Dallas and worked as a college coach for Harris Stowe State College in St. Louis. "I think the coaches for giving me this opportunity to forward my career in playing basketball and for all the prayers from my family and friends," Thomas said. "I have a lot of people looking up to me so I have to make the best of this opportunity."
Wittgtren, a 7-2 center, played for Union High School in Indiana where he led the nation in blocked shots in 2000. Wittgren has since spent 3 years in Japan and 2 months in China playing basketball. "I think we're ready," he said. "We've been practicing for two and a half months."
