WRANGLERS MAKE HISTORY, BEAT UTAH IN OT
The Las Vegas Wranglers (44-12-12, 100 Points) edged the Utah Grizzlies (30-28-9, 69 Points) 3-2 in overtime at the E-Center on Wednesday night. Captain Peter Ferraro broke the Wranglers single season record with his 35th goal of the season and second of the night at 2:03 of overtime. Ferraro also added an assist as Las Vegas clinched the National Conference and Pacific Division titles (#1 overall seed in conference). Left wing Marco Peluso added a goal and an assist as the Wranglers became the only team in ECHL history to record three straight 100-point seasons. Goalie Kevin Lalande stopped 27 of 29 shots for the victory, improving to 16-5-4.
