Hanson Signs For Stretch Run

COLUMBIA, S.C.-The Columbia Inferno have signed rookie forward Joel Hanson, Inferno head coach and director of hockey operations Troy Mann announced today.

Hanson, 24, had 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) and 26 penalty minutes as team captain during his senior year at Minnesota State University-Mankato this season. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder from Elk River, Minn., had 80 points (32 goals, 48 assists) and 82 penalty minutes in 148 career games with the Mavericks from 2004-05 through 2007-08.

The Inferno return to the Carolina Coliseum on Friday, April 4th to host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. for the final home game of the 2007-08 regular season.
