JOZSA JOINS WRANGLERS FOR KELLY CUP RUN MARK YOUR CALENDER FOR THESE UPCOMING GAMES
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced yesterday that defenseman Jason Jozsa has been returned by the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Jozsa returns from Grand Rapids after his second stint in the AHL this season. In 23 games with the Griffins, Jozsa scored once and added five assists for six points. At the time of his departure, the 26-year old defenseman left as the Wranglers leading scorer among blueliners. Jozsas 28 assists were tied for third among ECHL defenseman. In 49 games with Las Vegas this season, Jozsa had two goals and 30 points. His +13 rating was fourth highest on the team among active Wranglers when he departed for Grand Rapids. Jozsa was scoreless in two games with Quad City of the AHL earlier this season. For his career, Jozsa has 26 goals and 101 assists for 127 points in 353 games played.

WRANGLERS RECEIVE DEST FROM AHL, MANZATO CALLED UP BY CAROLINA
The Las Vegas Wranglers announced yesterday that defenseman Jason Dest has been returned by the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. The team also announced goalie Daniel Manzato has been recalled by the National Hockey Leagues Carolina Hurricanes.
Dest returns to the Wranglers for the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs after making his AHL debut with Peoria over the weekend. In two games, Dest was scoreless with no penalty minutes. The rookie defenseman had four assists and 82 penalty minutes in 50 regular season games played with Las Vegas this season. The 2008 National Conference All-Star finished third on the team with a +20 rating.
Manzato has been recalled by Carolina to join Team Switzerland at the World Championships in Canada. The rookie goalie is expected to miss the bulk of the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs after finishing fifth in the ECHL with 24 wins. For the season, Manzato posted a 24-5-6 record, becoming only the third goalie in team history to record 20 wins in a season. Manzatos 2.37 goals against average ranked seventh in the ECHL and his three shutouts tied for third overall in the league. The 2008 National Conference All-Star also finished with a .921 save percentage.
