Wranglers Meet Thunder in Pacific Division Finals

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (4-3) will face the Stockton Thunder (4-3) in the second round of the 2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs starting this Friday in Stockton.

The two teams will meet for the Pacific Division crown after both teams won in Game 7 on Wednesday night. Las Vegas beat Bakersfield 5-1 in game 7 to advance past the Condors 4-3. The Thunder beat the Reign in Ontario 5-4, taking the series 4-3 and advancing to meet Las Vegas. Las Vegas beat Stockton in six games in the first round of the playoffs last season.

Las Vegas will have home-ice advantage in the second round over Stockton after finishing in second place in the Pacific Division. The best of seven series will start in Stockton this Friday. Game One is scheduled for a 7:30 PM faceoff on Friday, April 24th at the Stockton Arena. The series will move to Las Vegas for Game Two on Monday, April 27th, 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena. The series will then shift to Stockton for Games Three and Four at the Stockton Arena at 7:30 PM. Game Three is set for Thursday, April 30th and Game Four is slated for Saturday, May 2nd. If necessary, the Wranglers will host Games Five, Six, and Seven at the Orleans Arena. Game Five is scheduled for Monday, May 4th at 7:30 PM. If needed, Game Six will be set for Tuesday, May 5th and if necessary, Game Seven is slated for Wednesday, May 6th.
