Wranglers Blanked by Aces, 3-0

Anchorage, AK - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (16-18-4, 36 Points) were defeated by the Alaska Aces (18-18-3, 39 Points) 3-0 in front of 5,012 fans Saturday night at the Sullivan Arena. Forward Alexandre Imbeault led the way for Alaska with two goals. Defenseman Bryan Miller also scored for the Aces, who improve to 12-6-3 at home this season. Aces goalie Frank Doyle made 37 saves for the shutout win. Wranglers goalie Michael Ouzas stopped 31 of 34 shots in the loss. The Wranglers will head to Idaho to take on the Steelheads Friday, January 22nd, at 6:10 p.m. at Qwest Arena.

The Aces opened the scoring at 18:05 of the first period with a power-play goal from defenseman Bryan Miller. Forward Alexandre Imbeault and defenseman T.J. Fast set up Miller's fifth goal of the season to give the Aces the 1-0 lead headed into the first intermission.

Alaska padded the lead 3:15 into the second period with a tally from Imbeault. Captain Scott Burt and center Nick Mazzolini set up Imbeault's 15th goal of the season for the 2-0 Aces lead. The Aces lead was increased to three at 11:09 with Imbeault's second goal on the evening. Imbeault snapped in his 16th goal of the year for the 3-0 Alaska lead.

In the third period, the Aces penalty kill was went eight-for-eight to hold for the 3-0 win over Las Vegas.
