Wranglers Attend Flames Rookie Camp

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that Wranglers Adam Cracknell, Adam Pardy, Aki Seitsonen and Ryan Donally will all participate in the Calgary Flames Annual Development Camp in Calgary beginning today.

All four players will see significant ice time during the six-day development camp. Defenseman Adam Pardy played for Las Vegas during the team's 2005-06 season. In 41 games with the Wranglers, Pardy scored once while adding 11 assists for 12 points. In 2006-07, Pardy played the entire season with the AHL's Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, in 70 games he posted six assists and eight points.

Forwards Ryan Donally and Aki Seitsonen each split their rookie seasons between Las Vegas and Omaha. Seitsonen led all Wranglers rookies in scoring with 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points in 59 games played. In multiple recalls to Omaha, the 21-year old Finnish native recorded a goal and three assists for four points in 13 games with the Knights. Seitsonen was Calgary's fourth round pick (#118 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Donally played in 18 games with the Wranglers this past season. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound winger scored three goals and added five assists for eight points, and led all rookies in Las Vegas with 79 penalty minutes on the season, the fourth highest total on the team. The Techumseh, ONT native was drafted in the third round (#97 overall) by Calgary in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Adam Cracknell experienced a shortened rookie season due to a severe leg injury in late November. In his first 17 games of the season, Cracknell scored four goals and added five assists for nine points before an injury sidelined him for 41 games. Upon his return, Cracknell netted four goals and dished out nine assists for 13 points in 14 games. The Flames drafted Cracknell in the ninth round (#279 overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 2005-06 with the Kootenay Ice, Cracknell finished second in the Western Hockey League scoring race with 93 points in 72 games.

Opening Day for the ECHL's 20th Anniversary Season will be October 18th when the Johnstown Chiefs host the Wheeling Nailers at Cambria County War Memorial in a rematch of Game 7 from the first-ever ECHL Finals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning October 18th and concluding April 5th.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that will have 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 pm on Thursday, October 13th in a preseason game.
