Wranglers Announce Preseason Schedule

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers have announced their 2007-08 preseason schedule.
The Wranglers will host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 pm on Thursday, October 11th at the Orleans Arena. The two teams will meet again on Saturday, October 13th at 7:00 pm at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
Las Vegas starts its fifth season in the ECHL on Friday, October 19th at 7:00 pm in Fresno at the Save Mart Center. The Wranglers will open at home on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
The team is expected to announce the protected list within the next week and numerous player signings will be announced in the upcoming months.
Opening Day for the ECHL's 20th Anniversary Season will be October 18th when the Johnstown Chiefs host the Wheeling Nailers at Cambria County War Memorial in a rematch of Game 7 from the first-ever ECHL Finals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning October 18th and concluding April 5th.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier âAA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that will have 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
