Columbia Inferno News Release

COLUMBIA, SC (June 26, 2007) - The Columbia Inferno are proud to announce that Athletic Trainer Dave Zeis has accepted a job with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

"This is a great opportunity for Dave. Just like our players, our staff works hard to make it to the next level," said head coach Troy Mann. "The Inferno organization wishes him the best as he advances on in his career with the Dallas Stars at the National Hockey League level."

Zeis has worked for the Inferno since their inception in 2001 and has been the only athletic trainer in Inferno history. Prior to joining the Inferno, Zeis was the head trainer for the Pee Dee Pride of the ECHL. He was also selected by his peers to the 2003 ECHL All-Star game in Florida.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed the last six years living in Columbia and working with the Inferno and Southern Orthopaedics," said Zeis. "It has been a terrific stepping stone towards reaching my ultimate goal of working in the National Hockey League."

Season, partial and group tickets are now on sale for the 2007-08 season by calling 256-7825 or visiting the Inferno website at www.columbiainferno.com. The Inferno home opener is on Friday, October 26th against the Augusta Lynx at 7:05pm.
