Woodchucks Drop Tough One to Bombers

Wausau, WIS - The Woodchucks came into tonight's game back home at the Athletic Park opening up a four game home stand against the Battle Creek Bombers. The Chucks went 2-2 on the four game road trip. The Bombers offense got off to a good start and the Chucks could not get the bats going and fell 11-0.

The Bombers got a run in the top of the 3rd and three runs in the top of the 4thinning to take 4-0 lead after four.

The Bombers put up a big five run top of the 6thinning and lead 9-0 after six.

The Battle Creek offense kept swinging and adding two in the 8thand one in the top of the 9thto hold on for the 12-0 win.

Top Performers

Chucks designated hitter Zach DeLoach contributed two hits as Right fielder Reese Alexiades

Dom Derenzo threw out two runners at home from left field.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks will be back home at Athletic Park on Wednesday July 18thas they host the Battle Creek Bombers. First pitch is at 6:35.
