Wood to DL; McTamney Activated

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have sent pitcher Mike Wood to the seven-day disabled list and activated pitcher Mike McTamney.
Wood, the RiverHawks' Opening Night starter, has a strained right pectoral muscle. Wood is 0-2 with a 3.18 earned-run average in four starts. Wood was placed on the DL retroactive to June 4.
McTamney went on the DL because of a right posterior rotator cuff strain on May 31. McTamney has no record and a 1.69 ERA in three relief appearances.
The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 18th season this summer.
