HOME COOKING
Chicago is in the midst of a season-high, six-game home stand, and will play seven of its next eight tilts on home ice; the Wolves have played 31 home contests this year, tied for the fourth fewest in the AHL, and have notched an 18-12-0-1 record in Rosemont this season, outscoring opponents, 95-79, along the way.
WOLVES HEADLINES
--- SPENCER MACHACEK: Matched a season-high two assists and notched his sixth multiple-point outing of the season against Peoria on Sunday ... Recorded four points (2G, 2A) in the last five games ... Ranks second on the Wolves and shares seventh among league rookies with 19 markers in 63 matchups this year ...Ranks second on Chicago and 16th among league rookies with 38 points and shares the team lead and is tied for first among AHL first year pros with 10 power-play markers
--- CLAY WILSON: Posted three points (G, 2A) in three games this week ... Notched six points (2G, 4A) in the last seven games ... Shares second among AHL defensemen with 12 goals, and ranks third on Chicago and is tied for eighth among league blueliners with 35 points in 57 outings this season ... Ranks second on the Wolves with 23 assists, 12 of which have come while on the power play ... Registered 15 points (4G, 11A) in 24 games with Chicago, since being acquired in a trade on Jan. 14 and 20 points (8G, 12A) in 33 tilts with the Syracuse Crunch
--- BRETT STERLING: Netted his 14th goal of the season in his return to the Wolves lineup on Sunday, his first outing since Feb. 4 ... Holds fourth on Chicago with 14 markers and shares fifth with 27 points in 39 outings this season ... Tied for first on the team with three game-winning tallies and holds fourth with five power-play strikes
--- JOEY CRABB: Tallied three points (G, 2A) in the last four games, after being held scoreless the previous four outings, a season-high ... Shares fifth on the Wolves with 12 goals and has recorded 25 points in 35 contests this season ... Ranks third on the team with a +12 plus/minus rating
--- ONDREJ PAVELEC: Allowed just 11 goals in his last seven starts ... Posted a 15-14-1 record in 30 appearances this season ... Ranks seventh in the AHL with a 2.36 goals-against average and shares sixth in the league with a .920 save percentage ... Has held opponents to one or fewer goals 11 times this season and has surrendered two or fewer goals in 19 of his 30 contests
WOLF TRACKS
--- Chicago sits in fourth place in the West Division with 69 points (33-30-2-1) through 66 games; the Wolves trail the second-place Houston Aeros, who hold three games in hand, by two points and the third-place Rockford IceHogs, who hold two games in hand, by one point; fifth place Peoria, which has played two fewer games, is just one point back.
--- Chicago was not whistled for a penalty in its game against Peoria on Friday - the first time in franchise history the club was not assessed an infraction in a contest.
--- The Wolves have held opponents without a power-play goal in six of the last ten games and have been perfect on the penalty kill 24 times in 66 games this season (16-5-2-1); Chicago ranks 21st in the league with an 81.5 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill (274 of 336).
--- The Wolves potted one power-play goal on five chances on Sunday, snapping a streak which saw them held without a man-advantage strike in three straight outings; Chicago ranks 23rd in the league with a 14.8 percent efficiency rating on the man-advantage (53 of 359).
--- The Wolves and the other 28 AHL teams are required to submit their playoff-eligible rosters to the league office by Wednesday at 2 p.m. CST.
THE BIG GREEN
--- For the 13th straight season, the Wolves will wear special St. Patrick's Day jerseys, sponsored by Jewel-Osco, at home games on Wed., March 11; Fri., March 13; and Sat., March 14. Fans can bid on the green jerseys worn by their favorite players in a silent auction, with the exception of four, which will be available in a raffle. Proceeds will benefit Easter Seals.
