WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11 - PHANTOMS vs. WILKES-BARRE SCRANTON PENGUINS - 7:05, WACHOVIA SPECTRUM

The Phantoms and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh Penguins) meet on Wednesday for the eighth time this season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton starts off the week in third place in the East Division with a record of 39-21-2-2 for 82 points, putting them four points back of the first-place tie between Hershey and Bridgeport. Jeff Taffe leads the team with 61 points and 41 assists, while Chris Minard is the Penguins leading goal scorer and is ranked third in the league with 29 goals.

SATURDAY, MARCH 14 - PHANTOMS vs. ALBANY RIVER RATS- 5:00, TIMES UNION CENTER

The Phantoms will visit the Albany River Rats (Carolina Hurricanes) in a Saturday evening matchup at the Times Union Center in New York. Albany starts the week with a record of 28-28-3-3 for 62 points, which slots them sixth in the East Division. Albany's leading scorer, Michael Ryan, is currently recalled to the Hurricanes. Jakub Petruzalek leads the team's current roster with 30 assists and 47 points.

SUNDAY, MARCH 15 - PHANTOMS vs. NORFOLK ADMIRALS - 5:00, WACHOVIA SPECTRUM

The Phantoms battle the Norfolk Admirals (Tampa Bay Lightning) on Sunday in the fifth of eight meetings this season. Norfolk is currently ranked seventh in the Eastern Division with a record of 26-31-3-5 for 60 points. Brandon Bochenski leads the Admirals with 25 goals this season.

TRANSACTIONS

RW Andreas Nodl was called up by the Flyers on Thursday night and played in the club's win over Nashville on Saturday. Ryan Parent, Claude Giroux and Darroll Powe are also still with the Flyers. On Wednesday, the Phantoms will submit their 2009 Clear Day List to the AHL, designating the players who are eligible to play for the team over the remainder of the regular season and the Calder Cup Playoffs.

MATSUMOTO NOMINATED FOR REEBOK/AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The Phantoms nominated C Jonathan Matsumoto for AHL Player of the Week consideration this week. Matusmoto had two goals, an assist and was -1 in three games last week for Philadelphia. He scored shorthanded on Saturday against Bridgeport to help the Phantoms earn a shootout point against the Sound Tigers.

NEWS AND NOTES

Over the last 17 games dating back to January 23, the Phantoms have allowed just five power play goals in 86 shorthanded situations, a kill rate of 94.2 percent. That includes the 10 power plays killed against Bridgeport on Saturday night... Philadelphia has now gone two consecutive seasons without winning a game in Bridgeport. The Phantoms are 2-10-1-3 in 16 games there over the past five years... This is Philadelphia's last three-game week of the year. After this week, the Phantoms close the season with four consecutive weeks of four games in five nights. The Phantoms will play their last 15 games over a span of 25 days.

The Phantoms have joined with the rest of the American Hockey League in forming AHL Live, a brand-new way to catch Phantoms hockey on the Internet. Once again this year, all Phantoms games, home and away, can be viewed online at www.ahllive.com. The video broadcasts are $6 per game, and a full-season pass can be purchased for $140. Also once again this year, fans can listen to just the audio portion of all games free of charge at Phantomshockey.com.
