WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- FRED BRATHWAITE: Registered saves on 58 of the 61 shots he faced last week, which includes a 24-save shutout performance on Friday in Omaha, the 20th of his North American professional hockey career ... Held his opponents to one or fewer goals six times this season, which includes Friday's performance ... Shares 10th in the AHL with 14 wins and paces Wolves netminders with a 2.65 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage

--- STEVE MARTINS: Matched a season-high with two goals and three points on Saturday, his eighth multi-point outing of the season ... Notched four points (2G, 2A) in his last two contests after being held to four points (G, 3A) in his previous nine ... Ranks fifth on the Wolves with 21 assists and 30 points in 37 contests this season

--- CORY LAROSE: Currently on an eight-game point streak, notching six goals and 10 assists during the span, which includes posting the game-winning goal on Saturday ... Posted multiple points six times during the steak and in 14 of his 33 outings this season ... Shares fourth in the AHL with 35 assists and ninth with 50 points in 33 outings

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Registered a point in each of the last six games, accruing nine points (5G, 4A) during that span ... Notched at least one point in all 25 of his road contests this season (15G, 35A) ... Leads the AHL with a career-high 59 assists and 89 points, just three shy of equaling the career-best he accrued last year, in 49 tilts ... Ranks second in the league with a +27 plus/minus rating and shares third with 30 goals

STAR GAZING

Wolves forwards DARREN HAYDAR and BRETT STERLING and defenseman NATHAN OYSTRICK will participate in tonight's 2007 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. HAYDAR (Canadian Team) and STERLING (PlanetUSA) will be in the starting lineup, while OYSTRICK (Canadian Team) will come off the bench, marking the first time Chicago will have three players skate in the contest since the franchise joined the AHL in 2001.

Friday's 5-0 victory marked Chicago's second shutout victory of the year and first since the season-opener on Oct. 7; the Wolves have blanked their opponents 64 times in franchise history, which includes 27 times away from the Allstate Arena.

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves have racked up 10 points in their last six games (4-0-0-2) after dropping a season-high five straight games, all in regulation, from Jan. 6 to 17; Chicago has accrued 65 points this season, which shares the lead in the Western Conference and third overall in the AHL.

--- Chicago's franchise record-tying, nine-game road swing continues when the squad plays a pair of games in Manitoba this weekend; the Wolves lead the AHL with 20 road wins, which is four more than the club collected last season (16-15-2-7).

--- The Wolves have held their opponents to just one power-play goal in the last six games (23 of 24), which includes blanking their rivals with the man-advantage in five of those outings.

--- Chicago exploded for seven goals on Saturday night, already the 10th time in
49 outings this season the squad has potted seven or more markers; the club paces the AHL with 217 goals this year, which is 29 more than the next closest
squad (Norfolk, 188).

--- The Wolves snapped a 3-3 tie late in the second period with four unanswered goals as they blasted the Iowa Stars, 7-3, at Wells Fargo Arena
--- Center STEVE MARTINS netted two goals and one assist while forwards ALEX BOURRET (2G), GUILLAUME DESBIENS (2A) and DEREK MacKENZIE (2A) and defensemen JON AWE (2A) and TROY MILAM (2A) all notched two points
--- Netminder FRED BRATHWAITE notched 34 saves on 37 shots in the win

--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE posted saves on all 24 shots he faced as Chicago earned its second shutout victory of the season with a 5-0 win against the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights at the Omaha Civic Auditorium
--- Rookies JORDAN LaVALLEE and BRETT STERLING each potted two goals while blueliner NATHAN OYSTRICK (2A) and forwards CORY LAROSE (2A) and DARREN HAYDAR (G, A) also posted two points to pace the offense

Tue., Jan. 23

--- The Wolves and Iowa Stars played even hockey for 65 minutes before the Stars converted on all three of their shootout attempts to earn a 3-2 victory at Wells Fargo Arena
--- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR and defenseman MARK POPOVIC posted goals for Chicago while center CORY LAROSE dished out assists on both tallies
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 27 saves in the contest
