Chicago Wolves center ANGELO ESPOSITO and defenseman NOAH WELCH will make appearances at three Chicagoland libraries next week to kick off the 16th season of the "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Pace, Vista Health System and Butternut Bread.

The appearances are scheduled for:

Mon., Nov. 1:

Jackson Blvd. 4 p.m.

Berwyn Public Library 2701 S.

Harlem Ave. 6:30 p.m.

Tue., Nov. 2:

The "Read to Succeed" program teaches the importance of recreational reading and encourages kids to use the many resources that libraries have to offer. ESPOSITO and WELCH will speak about the benefits of reading outside the classroom and discuss how reading and education play a part in their lives as professional athletes.

Children can win prizes including Wolves hats, mini hockey sticks and tickets to upcoming Wolves games for setting and achieving reading goals. The players will also dress a child in hockey equipment, raffle Wolves prizes and sign autographs.

Throughout the season, nearly 100 libraries and 30,000 children will participate in the program, with Wolves players making appearances at select libraries in the DuPage, North Suburban and Metropolitan Library Systems. Around 550,000 children have participated in "Read to Succeed" since the program's initiation in 1995.
