Albany Devils News Release
ALBANY, N.Y. - Devils defenseman Tyler Eckford and left-winger Alexander Vasyunov have been recalled by New Jersey from Albany, Albany General Manager Chris Lamoriello announced Thursday.
Eckford, 25, was recalled under emergency conditions after Matt Corrente suffered a broken left hand in Wednesday's game at San Jose. Vasyunov, 22, returns to New Jersey since making his NHL debut against Buffalo on Oct. 23. He has appeared in five games for Albany, registering an assist.
Albany heads to Providence and Syracuse for a pair of games this weekend. The Devils play the Bruins on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7:05 p.m. and the Crunch on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
