Chicago Wolves News Release

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC from his conditioning stint with the Chicago Wolves and reassigned goaltender PETER MANNINO to Chicago.

PAVELEC stopped 19 of the 22 shots he faced in Chicago's 4-1 loss to the Oklahoma City Barons last night, his first action since Oct. 8. The 23-year-old goaltender, who began his professional career in Chicago and backstopped the Wolves to the Calder Cup Championship as a rookie in 2008, has accrued a 20-28-7 record with a 3.32 goals against average and .902 save percentage in 62 career National Hockey League outings with Atlanta from 2007 to 2010.

MANNINO backed up in Atlanta's 6-4 win over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden last night, after being recalled on Tuesday. He previously appeared in one contest with Atlanta after an Oct. 11 recall and stopped 15 of 16 shots in 38:26 of relief duty on Oct. 22 vs. Tampa Bay.

The 26-year-old netminder has not appeared in any games with Chicago this season. Last year, he shared 10th in the American Hockey League with a career-high 26 victories (26-5-1) and tied for third in the league with a .921 save percentage in 38 outings with the Wolves.

The Farmington Hills, Mich., native has appeared in four career NHL games with Atlanta and the New York Islanders and notched a 1-1-0 record with a 3.85 goals-against average and .893 save percentage. MANNINO will join the Wolves when they take on the Texas Stars at the Allstate Arena on Thursday at 7 p.m.
