Wolves meet Berkshire Battalion in last home game of regular season

The Watertown Wolves have only three regular season games standing in front of their opportunity to bring post-season, professional hockey to Watertown.

The Wolves travel to Danbury Connecticut to meet the Whalers on Friday, March 6, and then head to Massachusetts on Saturday, March 7, to face off against the Berkshire Battalion. Regular season play ends for the Wolves on Sunday, March 8 at home against the Berkshire Battalion. The game is sponsored by the Watertown Daily Times and the puck drops at 5:05 p.m.

The Wolves head into their last three games in the regular season on top in the FHL standings. Watertown will hold home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, a best-of-three series. They will start on the road, either March 12 or March 13 depending on the opponent. The first ever professional hockey playoff game in Watertown is scheduled for Sunday March 15 at 5:00 p.m. The third game of the series, if necessary, will be in Watertown on Monday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Buy tickets in advance, online and save $3. Advance sale, online prices are $12 for adults, $11 for military, seniors, students, youth (9-16), and $7 for children (5-8). Children under 5 are free. The ticket prices include all processing fees and they are tentatively scheduled to go on sale on March 9.

"We will be discounting tickets for the playoff games to fans who purchase their tickets online, in advance of the games," according to Stan Tibbles, team owner. "We know our fans are excited to see the first ever professional hockey playoff game here in Watertown."
