Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves hosted their Central Division rivals, the Barrie Colts in Friday night action. The Colts were the first to get on the scoreboard and finished the opening period with a 2-0 lead.
The Colts would score two more early in the second frame to take a commanding 4-0 lead before Sudbury Wolves leading goal scorer, MATT SCHMALZ scored his 10th goal of the season to put the Wolves on the board. IVAN KASHTANOV drew an assist on the play. The Colts added one more goal before the second period came to a close.
The Wolves opened the last period of play on a high note as JACOB HARRIS scored his second of the season. PAVEL JENYS connected with HARRIS to give the Wolves some positive momentum, however that was as close as they came as the Colts added 4 more goals to solidify the win. The Colts took this one by a final score of 9-2 with final shots on goal 35 to 25 in favour of the Colts.
The Wolves will be back at home Saturday night (November 8th) at 7:00PM when they take on the visiting Belleville Bulls.
