
Wolves Drop Preseason Opener

DES MOINES, Iowa --- The Chicago Wolves opened their four-game exhibition slate with a 7-4 loss to the Iowa Wild on Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Forwards Sebastian Wannstrom and Charles Lachance and defensemen Matthew Register and Colten Hayes scored goals for the Wolves, who held 1-0 and 2-1 leads in the first period. Right wing Ty Rattie, the team's leading scorer in 2013-14, was one of seven players to register an assist.
Chicago continues its preseason schedule with a 7 p.m. game on Thursday in Rockford. The Wolves host Iowa at 7 p.m. Friday at Triphahn Ice Arena in Hoffman Estates and host Milwaukee at 7 p.m. Saturday at West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows. Tickets are available at those rinks.
The Wolves host their 21st season opener on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Allstate Arena against the Charlotte Checkers. There are still tickets available for the opener by visiting ChicagoWolves.com or calling 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
