Wolves' Butler Recalled to NHL

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that veteran defenseman Chris Butler has been recalled to the National Hockey League. The 28-year-old Butler returns to St. Louis after notching an assist during the Wolves' 5-1 season-opening Amtrak Rivalry win on Oct. 10 against Milwaukee.

Butler produced 1 goal and 8 assists for the Wolves during the 2014-15 season before moving to the Blues and posting 3 goals and 6 assists in 33 games. The St. Louis native owns 13 goals and 17 assists in 382 career NHL appearances.

The Wolves host a pair of games this weekend at Allstate Arena. The Texas Stars visit at 7 p.m. Friday, which marks the debut of Craft Beer Fridays as well as the Wolves' first ABC-affiliated broadcast on D2 Channel 7.2.
