
Wolves and ABC 7 Chicago Announce Broadcast Agreement

The Chicago Wolves and ABC 7 Chicago have struck a partnership that begins with two Wolves games that will appear on ABC 7 Chicago's D2 Channel 7.2.
ABC 7 will broadcast the Wolves' American Hockey League home game against the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. Friday as well as Chicago's 7 p.m. game at Rockford on Friday, Oct. 23, on the station's D2/7.2 channel.
Both games will be broadcast and found over-the-air in HD on 7.2 as well as Xfinity (Ch. 217), WOW! (Ch. 219), RCN (Ch. 618), Charter (Ch. 608 and 196) and Mediacom (Ch. 723 and 102).
"We're excited to forge a new partnership with ABC7 Chicago and its networks," said Wolves president Mike Gordon. "Their reputation and reach will benefit our rabid Wolves fans while welcoming new ones into the fold."
"ABC 7 is thrilled to join the Chicago Wolves in bringing the excitement of Wolves hockey to our viewers and Chicago hockey fans as the team pursues its quest of the 2016 Calder Cup," said John Idler, president and general manager of ABC 7 Chicago.
ABC 7 Chicago has earned honors for its long-time Wolves coverage. Sports director Mark Giangreco received the AHL's James H. Ellery Memorial Award in 2006-07, which recognized him as the league's Outstanding Media personality.
