Defenseman Erik Cernak Joins Reign; Goaltender Michael Houser Assigned to Manchester

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), received defenseman Erik Cernak on assignment from the Kings and goaltender Michael Houser has been assigned to the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.

Cernak, 18, skated in 43 games with Kosice HC in Slovakia last season scoring five goals and eight assists for 13 points. The Kosice, Slovakia, native was selected by the Kings in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and captured a 2014-15 World Junior Championship Bronze Medal with Team Slovakia. On September 27, Cernak was assigned by the Kings to the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), but the 6-foot-3, 203-pound defenseman did not skate in a contest.

Houser, 23, appeared in two preseason games with the Reign.
