Chicago Wolves News Release

Chicago Wolves Head Coach JOHN ANDERSON will be behind the bench for the United States squad in the 2007 World Jewish Hockey Championship at the Canada Center in Metula, Israel, from July 14 to 21.

The winningest coach in Wolves history, ANDERSON will guide a club made up of Jewish Americans ranging in age from 17 to 41. Evanston native and Nashville Predators goaltending prospect Dov Grumet-Morris will be between the pipes for ANDERSON, who is making his first trip to the Middle East.

"I consider myself very lucky to be able to spend time in such a historic area while coaching the sport I love," ANDERSON said. "It's an amazing opportunity. Ten years ago, if you would have told me I was going to coach a United States national team in Israel, I would have called you crazy."

Teams from Israel, Canada and France will also compete in the eight-day tournament, which features players from the college ranks, American Hockey League and European professional leagues.

ANDERSON has led the Wolves to three championships in the last 10 years - the Calder Cup in 2002 and the Turner Cup in 1998 and 2000. He is the team's all-time leader in wins (453) and postseason victories (89) and has compiled a .624 winning percentage during his tenure with the club.
