This week:
The Wolf Pack's second annual "Sonar's Edu-Skate" school-day game is this Wednesday, November 4 vs. the Toronto Marlies, with faceoff at 11:00 AM. The Pack then wrap up a four-game homestand Saturday night vs. Albany at 7:30, before heading to Bridgeport for a 5:00 game on Sunday.
Wednesday, November 4 vs. the Toronto Marlies (Maple Leafs) at the XL Center, 11:00 AM
- This is the Wolf Pack's second annual "Sonar's Edu-Skate" school-day game. Fans will be invited to take the Wolf Pack's "Kindness Pledge" at the game, and there will be lots of educational fun on tap throughout the day. For information on bringing a school group to the Edu-Skate game, contact the Wolf Pack ticket office at (855) 762-6451.
- "Sonar's Edu-Skate" is sponsored by Pro Health Physicians.
- WWE Superstar David Otunga will be promoting the WWE's "Be a Star" anti-bullying program at this game. Otunga will drop the ceremonial first puck and conduct a rally on the ice during the first intermission
- This is also a Wolf Pack "Winning Wednesday". If the Wolf Pack win, fans can show their Winning Wednesday ticket at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center and receive a free ticket to the next Wolf Pack home game, Saturday night's battle with the Albany Devils (some restrictions apply).
- The Wolf Pack and Marlies have not played since the 2010-11 season, when Toronto swept a two-game season series, winning 4-0 at the XL Center November 9 and 9-2 in Toronto February 9. In eight all-time meetings with the Marlies, the Wolf Pack are 3-4-1-0 and have split four home games with Toronto.
- First-year head coach Sheldon Keefe has the Marlies sitting atop the North Division, with a 7-3-0-0 record for a .700 points percentage.
- Former Yale Eli, and Milford, CT native, Mark Arcobello, a veteran of 126 NHL games in his six pro years, scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, in Toronto's 3-2 win at Albany Sunday. That was Arcobello's first game in a Marlie uniform after being assigned by the Maple Leafs Friday.
- Tickets for this and all 2015-16 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499. Saturday, November 7 vs. the Albany Devils (New Jersey) at the XL Center, 7:30 p.m.
- This game is the first of six on the year between the Wolf Pack and Devils, who were divisional rivals the past four seasons but are playing out of different divisions this season, the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic and Albany in the North. In a ten-game season series vs. the Devils last year, the Wolf Pack went 6-4-0-0, winning four of the five games played between the two teams at the XL Center.
- Albany has gone 4-3-2-0 for a .556 points percentage through its first nine games, good for fourth place in the North. Head Coach Rick Kowalsky's club is 3-1-1-0 in its last five after winning only one of its first four (1-2-1-0).
- Goaltender Yann Danis, who backstopped the Wolf Pack to the Eastern Conference Finals this past spring, has played seven of the Devils' first nine games, going 4-1-2 with a 2.12 goals-against average and a 91.8% save percentage, after signing as a free agent with New Jersey this summer.
