Texas Stars to Host Military Appreciation Night Saturday
November 2, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Texas Stars News Release
CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Monday the details for their Military Appreciation Night, which takes place this Saturday against the San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
As part of the Stars' ongoing support for current and former members of the armed forces, the organization has teamed up with fans and corporate partners to purchase more than 1,800 tickets for the game. Those tickets purchased will be given to local soldiers, veterans and their families to express appreciation for the service the military provides for the country.
Stars players will be wearing special military-themed jerseys during the pregame warmups, which fans will be able to bid on throughout the evening in a silent auction to benefit the Texas Stars Foundation. Auction winners will receive the jerseys from each player following the game.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to receive a Stars Military Appreciation T-Shirt giveaway. The game is also a Coke Zero Family Four Pack and Texas Lottery Row Night. The first Stars player to score will win free scratch off tickets for a lucky row of seats in a section at Cedar Park Center, courtesy of the Texas Lottery, and fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for as low at $16 per person.
Round Rock Auto Group will be collecting toys outside the east entrance of Cedar Park Center for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots program. Those who donate a new, unwrapped toy will receive a voucher good for two free tickets to the Stars' Nov. 11 game against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:30 p.m.
Military vehicles from Fort Hood will be on display outside the arena before and during the game.
