A busy week equaled three out of a possible six points for the Wolf Pack this week, leaving the Pack four points behind Division-leading Manchester and fourth overall in the league. The club sports a record of 36-18-2-2 for 76 points, and continues to have the best home record of 24-5-1-1in the AHL and the least goals against with only 121. The Wolf Pack also lead the league in penalty minutes with 1788. The team is number two in penalty killing with an 88.52% efficiency, while they remain in eighth spot on the powerplay, with a 16.55% success rate.
Steve Valiquette remains atop the goaltender leader board with an average of 1.83, while Jason LaBarbera is tied for second spot with a goals against of 1.94. Lawrence Nycholat remains seventh in defenseman scoring in the league with 5 goals and 30 assists for 35 points.
This week:
After their second of two home games against Manchester, the Wolf Pack
depart on their furthest road trip of the season. The team leaves for their
only western swing of the year on Thursday and faces Houston on Friday, San
Antonio on Saturday, then plays back-to-back games versus Utah next Monday
and Wednesday before returning to the comfort of the Hartford Civic Center.
Tuesday, March 1 - "Pack Talk" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN Radio 1410 This week's scheduled guests Jamie Lundmark and Jozef Balej will join the voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford, at Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279 West Main Street (Route 44) in Avon from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Fans are invited to come down to Little Mark's to participate live, or to listen in on ESPN Radio 1410.
Wednesday, March 2 vs. Manchester - Hartford Civic Center 7:05 p.m.
* The Monarchs remain atop the Atlantic Division with a record of
37-14-3-3 and 80 points. The club has the most goals in the AHL with 193.
* The Pack lead the season series between the two clubs 3 games to 2,
but are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Monarchs.
* Alexander Giroux and Jeff Hamilton both have 4 points against
Manchester while Michael Cammalleri, who is second overall in league scoring
(32-46-78), has 6 points against the Pack.
* This is the rebate night for the "Guaranteed Win" Night last
Saturday. Since the Pack lost, fans can redeem their ticket stub from
Saturday's game versus Manchester for a ticket to this game. Tickets must
be redeemed at the Hartford Civic Center Box Office.

Friday, March 4 at Houston - Toyota Center 8:35 p.m.
* The Aeros currently stand fourth in the West Division with 60 points
(26-21-5-3). They have the most shots per game average in the league with
33.87 per game. The club is 13-12-1-1 at home.
* The last time the two clubs met was on November 1 in Hartford, when
the Wolf Pack won their first shootout of the season, 1-0.

Saturday, March 5 at San Antonio - SBC Center 8:00 p.m.
* San Antonio is sixth in the West Division with a record of 23-31-3-5
for 54 points. At home the club is 12-11-1-3.
* The two clubs met just last week in Hartford, a 3-1 win for the Wolf
Pack on the strength of two goals by Jamie Lundmark. Joel Kwiatkowski
scored the lone marker for San Antonio

The Calder Cup Tour makes its stop in Hartford on Saturday, April 9 when the Pack host the Portland Pirates. Come get your picture taken with the most coveted trophy in the American Hockey League.
The new Hartford Wolf Pack "Pack Shop" is now open at its new location - 100 Allyn Street. The store is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as two hours prior to and one hour after each and every Wolf Pack home game, including Saturday and Sundays. A full line of Wolf Pack merchandise is available, while a limited selection of items will still be available in the Civic Center Mall before games.
