
Wolves' Vigier named CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Chicago Wolves right wing J.P. Vigier has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending February 27, 2005. Vigier recorded three goals and three assists for six points in three games on the week.
Vigier began the week with the first goal in Chicago's 6-4 win over Syracuse on Wednesday night, then came back on Saturday with two assists as the Wolves defeated Utah, 5-1. Vigier extended his scoring streak to five games by registering his first three-point performance of the season, scoring two goals and assisting on another in a 5-2 victory over St. John's.
In recognition of his achievement, Vigier will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wolves home game.
Vigier, a 2002 AHL All-Star and a member of Chicago's Calder Cup championship team later that year, currently leads the Wolves with 55 points (22 goals, 33 assists), a plus-21 rating and six game-winning scores while playing in all 58 games this season. The native of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Man., has recorded 76 goals and 76 assists for 152 points in 183 career AHL games, all with Chicago, and has added 14 goals and nine assists for 23 points in 100 NHL contests with Atlanta.
