Road Runners recall Drouin-Deslauriers

The Edmonton Road Runners have recalled goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers from the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL.

Drouin-Deslauriers is returning to Edmonton after an impressive nine-game stint with the Grrrowl. The 6'4", 192-pound native of St-Jean-Richelieu, Quebec posted a 7-1-1 record with a 1.62 goals against average and .957 save percentage. Drouin-Deslauriers' stretch with the Grrrowl included a 40-save shutout performance in a 3-0 win over the Charlotte Checkers on February 25th and a 48-save performance in a 2-1 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators on February 19th.

After missing 15 games with a bruised left leg, Drouin-Deslauriers was assigned to Greenville after only playing 12 games for the Road Runners. In 12 games, he posted a 4-7-1 record with a 2.86 goals against average and a .889 save percentage.

Drouin-Deslauriers will be arriving in Cleveland later today to join the Road Runners for their 12-game road trip, which begins tomorrow night against the Barons.
