WNBA ALL-STAR-Aces' Plum, Gray Win KIA WNBA Skills Challenge

LAS VEGAS - The Las Vegas Aces' duo of Chelsea Gray and Kelsey Plum won the 2023 KIA WNBA Skill Challenge, Friday, beating teams made up of tandems from Atlanta, Dallas and New York.

In the first round, the Aces completed the timed event in 45.9 seconds-the lowest time of the round-followed by New York's Sabrina Ionescu and Courtney Vandersloot (47.8), Dallas' Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally (52.6) and Atlanta's Allisha Gray and Cheyenne Parker (58.7).

Las Vegas squared off against the Liberty in the finals as New York clocked in at 58 seconds, while the Aces posted the lowest time of the event at 45.0 seconds.

Jackie Young took part in the Starry 3-Point Contest, finishing tied for 5th with 15 points in the first round. New York's Sabrina Ionescu topped Sami Whitcomb and Arike Ogunbowale in the finals with a near-perfect 37 out of 40 points. She made 23 of 25 shots, including 20 in a row at one point, in posting the highest score ever in the event by either an NBA or WNBA player.
