
Sabrina Ionescu Wins WNBA Starry® 3-Point Contest with Highest Scoring Round in League History

LAS VEGAS - Today, New York Liberty All-Star guard Sabrina Ionescu won the WNBA STARRY® 3-Point Contest in her debut appearance. Her 37-point final round marked an all-time WNBA record (previously 30), and her title is the first in Liberty franchise history.
Ionescu bested a field of Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings, DiJonai Carrington of the Connecticut Sun, Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever, Sami Whitcomb of the Seattle Storm, and Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces. She defeated Ogunbowale and Whitcomb in the final round.
Earlier, Sabrina competed with fellow All-Star teammate Courtney Vandersloot in the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge. Tomorrow, the duo will represent Team Stewart alongside Liberty forward and AT&T WNBA All-Star captain, Breanna Stewart, in the 19th WNBA All-Star Game on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET.
