
WMET Radio, D.C. United Announce 2004 English Play-by-Play Schedule

CHANTILLY, VA (March 16, 2004) - D.C. United and WMET Radio announced today that Power Talk 1160 will again be the English radio home of the Black-and-Red. WMET Radio coverage begins on April 3, as United hosts the defending MLS Cup champion San Jose Earthquakes. WMET Radio will broadcast all 30 Major League Soccer fixtures for the 2004 campaign. In addition to the radio broadcast, live audio streaming for all MLS matches will be available at HYPERLINK "http://www.dcunited.com" www.dcunited.com.
"As our team seeks to satisfy the demand of those who want to follow D.C. United, our relationship with WMET continues to grow," said D.C. United President and CEO Kevin Payne. WMET Radio "Intelligent Radio 1160" is fast becoming the radio station of choice in Washington, D.C. WMET offers an entertaining lineup of hosts, with a compelling mix of information and perspectives designed to engage listeners, rather than shock them. In addition to being the radio home of D.C. United, "Intelligent Radio 1160" offers extensive coverage of the George Washington University men's basketball team. WMET's programming lineup also includes "The Bruce Williams Show", offering business advice based on Williams's own extensive real-life experience; "For The People" with Chuck Harder, a forum for the average citizen to learn the workings of government; and the popular "Ask Heloise", where America's #1 lifestyle management expert provides proven advice on important consumer issues.

Tony Limarzi will once again be the radio voice of D.C. United. The veteran broadcaster has been involved with local soccer for nearly 20 years, and got his start with United as a production assistant for Inside D.C. United, hosted by Dave Johnson. In addition to being the radio voice of United, Limarzi has also called many important soccer matches, including NCAA matches for the University of Illinois and the 1998 Olympic Qualifying tournament. During the winter, Limarzi is the producer and co-host of the Georgetown Men's Basketball television show Hoya Hoops with Craig Esherick. Tony and his wife Meg live in Silver Spring, MD.
