Wizards Launch Junior Wizards Program
February 15, 2007 - NBA G League (G League)
Dakota Wizards News Release
Bismarck, ND February 15th 2007: The Dakota Wizards announced today courtesy of partners such as Montana Dakota Utilities, Wal-Mart, Pacific Sound and Gold Mark Property that youth basketball teams from around the state can receive complimentary tickets to the Sunday, March 4, 2007 game against the Bakersfield Jam.
The Junior Wizards program has been established as a way for the Wizards to continue giving back to the local community and provide kids who otherwise might not get the opportunity a chance to see exciting NBA Development League action. The program is available to boys and girls 14 and under that participated in any YMCA, Park and Recreation or other youth basketball program throughout North Dakota. The deadline for teams to sign up is Friday, February 23.
"We are pleased to give this opportunity to area youth", said General Manager Tom Wagganer. "We wanted to find a way to give these kids a experience they will remember for the rest of their life, with the help of our partners we will be able to make this happen".
Youth basketball coaches and parents are encouraged to contact the Wizards office at (701) 258-BALL for more information or to register their teams. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Junior Wizards program by contacting the Wizards office office@dakotawizards.com for more information.
