Wizards Host FC Dallas Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark

The Kansas City Wizards (7-11-6, 27 pts) face FC Dallas (7-11-6, 27 pts) Saturday in a match-up of teams with identical records looking to jump into the thick of the MLS Cup Playoff picture. Both teams are currently on the outside looking in, but the Wizards enter after winning two of three matches on a road trip to the East Coast last week. Kansas City defeated New England and New York during the eight-day stretch of games. Dallas posted a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy last weekend.

The last two MLS Players of the Week will play in Saturday's match after FCD striker Jeff Cunningham won last week's award after scoring two goals and recording two assists in the win over LA. Wizards striker Josh Wolff was MLS Player of the Week just before Cunningham. Wolff scored two goals and played a part in two more September 5 in a 4-2 win at the New England Revolution. Wolff now has nine goals on the season to lead the Wizards. Cunningham enters with 12 for FC Dallas. Cunningham ranks 2nd in MLS, while Wolff is tied for 8th in the League. Cunningham and Wolff have each won three MLS Player of the Week awards this season.

The Wizards will pay tribute to their founder Lamar Hunt on the night that FC Dallas, owned by Hunt Sports Group, comes to town. As part of the festivities, Wizards players will wear special "LH" armbands and the initials "LH" will be mowed into the grass at CAB.
