Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON, TX (Friday, September 18, 2009) -- On Monday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m., the Houston Dynamo will make available to the general public single-game tickets for the Dynamo's anticipated Western Conference showdown against the Los Angeles Galaxy on October 18. At the match, presented by Amigo Energy, the first 5,000 fans will receive a free replica-style jersey. Tickets will be available at HoustonDynamo.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.
In each of the last two years, more than 30,000 fans attended the Dynamo's home game against the Galaxy, including last year's 3-0 Houston win that clinched a playoff spot. The Galaxy, who are currently second behind the Dynamo in the Western Conference standings, are led by English midfielder David Beckham and All-Star forward Landon Donovan.
"The excitement over this match should result in a sellout, making it the third straight year that we have ended the regular season with a capacity crowd," Dynamo Chief Operating Officer Chris Canetti said. "This could be a critical match for playoff positioning and will involve some interesting storylines with players like David Beckham and Landon Donovan. It is a date on our calendar that has been circled for a long time."
The Dynamo are also offering a special $48 Galaxy Two-Game Pack, which includes a guaranteed ticket to the October 18 match against the LA Galaxy and any other Dynamo home game. Group tickets are available by calling the Dynamo offices at (713) 276-7500, and the Galaxy Two-Game Packs are available by logging onto HoustonDynamo.com.
The Dynamo are next in action on Saturday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m. when they face Real Salt Lake at Robertson Stadium, kicking off a stretch of six home games in 30 days.
The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer franchise that has won two MLS Cup championships in its first three seasons and qualified to represent the United States in four consecutive regional championships. Be sure to ask about the new Texas Children's Health Plan Family Section. For more information, please log on to www.HoustonDynamo.com or call (713) 276-7500.
