With draw, Union advance to the semifinal of CCL

CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union earned a 1-1 draw against Atlanta United FC in the second leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday night at Subaru Park. With the draw, the Union win 4-1 on aggregate and advance to the semifinals of the tournament. In the first half, the Union created the bulk of the opportunities but none of them led to a goal. Atlanta United FC would eventually be the ones to break the deadlock just before halftime with a goal from Santiago Sosa. In the second half, both teams would fight to create chances, but it was the Union who would finally even the score. Cory Burke found Kacper Przybylko on a cross in the 88th minute, giving Przybylko his 4th straight goal in Concacaf Champions League play. He is the second player in Concacaf Champions League history to score in 4 straight knockout matches. The Union will face the winner of Portland Timbers vs. Club America series, determined tomorrow, for the semifinal to take place this August.
The Union return to MLS play on Saturday where they will travel to face Chicago Fire FC. (1:00 p.m. ET / 6ABC).
