Wisconsin Herd Falls to Windy City Bulls

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Windy City Bulls 110-102. The Bulls quickly took control of the game with a double-digit advantage in the first five minutes of the game. Windy City went on to nearly double that lead in the second quarter before the Herd rallied with a small comeback at the end of the first half. Strong defense and hot shooting propelled the Herd to outscore the Bulls 26-18 in the third quarter, making it a one-point game. The Herd took its first lead of the game in the fourth quarter but wasn't able to hold it till the end.

The Herd was led by Milwaukee Bucks two-way player Lindell Wigginton with 23 points while Elijah Hughes added 19 points.

The Windy City Bulls' leading scorer was Dalen Terry with 25 points followed by Adama Sanogo with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds.

Milwaukee Bucks two-way player Marques Bolden hit a three-point shot to get the Herd on the board early in the first quarter. The Windy City Bulls got off to a hot start grabbing an 11-point lead in the first five minutes. Lindell Wigginton and Marques Bolden combined for seven points to cut down Windy City's double-digit head start. Wenyen Gabriel added six straight points to push the Herd closer to the Bulls. Stevie Thomspon Jr. swished a three before the Bulls scored seven consecutive points to take a 33-22 edge at the end of the first.

The Bulls dominated at the beginning of the second quarter going up by nearly 20 points. Wisconsin answered with a 10-2 run to bring them within 10 points. The Herd stayed close answering every basket, but the Bulls pushed ahead with three consecutive baskets. Wisconsin took control outscoring the Bulls 11-2 to come within nine points at half. The Bulls led 58-49. Marques Bolden guided the Herd with nine points.

Lindell Wigginton opened the third quarter with back-to-back threes. The Bulls pushed ahead to a 14-point lead at the eight-minute mark, but the Herd put on strong defense to keep the Bulls from scoring for the next three minutes. During that time, the Herd cut the Bulls' upper hand to six. The Bulls scored one three-pointer before the Herd hit eight straight points to make it a one-point game. The teams both threw in two baskets to close out the third quarter. The Bulls held on to a 76-75 advantage.

The teams traded baskets to start the fourth, but the Herd eventually powered ahead to grab its first lead of the game. The Bulls quickly pushed the Herd back under, converting on two consecutive baskets. Windy City went on to outscore the Herd 15-4 to go up by double-digits with seven minutes remaining. The Herd countered coming within five points, but it wasn't enough to grab the upper hand. The teams battled back and forth until the Bulls ran away with a 12-point lead. Wenyen Gabriel made two more baskets before the final buzzer. Windy City secured the win 110-102.

The Herd will play next at the Indiana Mad Ants on Monday, December 11 with tip-off set for 5:00 p.m. CST.
